Perennial widely grown throughout the world, originally native to Central and Western Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean. Arabs gave Alfalfa its name which means 'father of all foods'. Great for sprouting and incredibly high in vitamins and minerals. Excellent cover crop, roots reaching down to 20 feet, and for putting vegetable beds to rest. Prefers full sun and is drought tolerant. Fresh sprouts and tea of the dried aerial plant provide a rich source of chlorophyll and minerals. Used as a stimulating, tonic herb. 800 seeds or more.
