Impatiens balsamina. Decorative annual Chinese native growing 1-2 feet with lots of showy pink, purple, lavender and white flowers from early September on. Known for exploding seedheads when touched. Diverse traditional medicinal uses, including flowers for burns and leaf juice for warts and snake bites. Prefers full sun and rich soil.
